1. Check again requirements:

• PHP 5
• PHP cURL support (with SLL/https support)
• Joomla 1.5.4+

2. Check the error situation / error message:

Enable AutoTweet debug mode in the component parameters and look for error/success message:

a) There is a error return code like "AutoTweet - error when sending message to twitter, return code = XXX". Check also the message log and queue in the backend for status informaion:

If you can not find any explanation or solution, post to the forum. Before you do so, please wait a little bit and try again (Sometimes Facebook/Twitter servers needs time to synchronize your account/permission data.)

b) There is no message: Check the plugin options.

• Is the plugin activated?
• Are the category and section filters correct?
• Note: The plugin post only articles to twitter that are published and have a date that is not in the future.
• Check if you have traffic on your site / go to your site frontend and load a site in the browser: The Automator-Plugin works when someone's browsing one of your sites. So you need some traffic on the site to send articles to Twitter/Facebook. E. g. when you save an article at midnight and the first person browses your site at 8 am the Twitter/Facebook account will be updated at 8 am. You can use a service that will open your site even every X minutes automatically (This is some kind of ping service). There are many services for this on the web (also some are cost free).
