We've been using autotweet with no issues, and we've made no changes, and suddenly since yesterday, when we press save or apply in an article we are creating or editing, we are routed to a blank page. It happens about 4 out of 5 times.

With error reporting turned on, this is the problem:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function json_decode() in /var/www/vhosts/greenbuildingpro.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_autotweet/helpers/autotweetposthelper.php on line 435

This blank page after save or apply has been attributed to other plugins in the past as I have read on the Joomla forum, and the only remedy is to contact the author and alert them to the issue.

Can you shed any light on this for us? We really like autotweet - but we have to be able to create and edit articles...

What is the version of used AutoTweet NG component?

If you do not use the newest version of autotweet, please upgrade!

This problem has to do woth JSON support.

What confuses me is that it has worked before. Has you/youre host downgraded the PHP version?

Hey Ulli, our PHP is 5.1.6 and when we looked at the back side of autotweet it seemed to be telling us that it was out of date, so we installed the latest as you normally would, seems to have worked, but we still have the problem, and when we go to information in the autotweet backend we see this, only much longer:

your really sure that the old problem "Call to undefined function json_decode()" is still exisiting? If so, please check if the folder "jsonwrapper" exists in "/administrator/components/autotweet/helpers". If not, the new installation/upgrade was not successfull.

The new error message is something different. I suggest that something is is missing or not configured the right way on your system. Unfortunatly with this error message only I can not investigate what is wrong, but it must have to do with one of the follfowing things:
- CURL/Sockets support

Your really sure that this is the same system as it has worked before?

We could not resolve it, but upon upgrading to your full version we seem to be okay.
