I'm Ulli, the developer of 1stMover extensions. Most 1stMover extensions are free of charges or fees and this is the forum site where you can get free support for these extensions. The word "free" is important and it means too, that I'm doing these free things in my free time and sometime I'm not able to answer all the questions posted here. I would like to ask for your patience.

If you want to help me (writing manuals, answering the posts here) then this will be very appreciated.

Before posting new post, please read the documentation and the previous forum posts as answering the same questions takes a lot of time which is missing for developing and for answering not yet answered posts.

Hey

I have installed your Autotweet component and it has successfully posted to twitter and facebook.

I am also running it through bit.ly

The problem is the bit.ly url is not configured correctly.

The bit.ly link looks like: www.mysite.com/component/k2/item/my.article

And the actual (correct) link looks like: www.mysite.com/blog/item/my.article

Any ideas anyone

Hey!

Some questions to localize the problem:

1. Do you use the newest version ot AutoTweet NG Pro (1.1 stable) and the K2 plugin (2.4)? If not: Upgrade and test again (There are changes and bugfixes for URL handling in the last two versions).

2. Does this happen with K2 only or also with core articles?

3. Is this the same when posting (saving the article) form frontend and from backend? Or does this happen only when article is entered in the backend?

4. Does this happen for new articles only or also for edited/modified articles?

5. Do you use Joomla! core SEF or an SEF extension?

3. I haven't attempted to post from the front end, do you need me to do this?

4. Both newly posted and edited.

5. I use the ACESEF extension?

I have never tested with ACESEF (sh404sef, JoomaSEF only), so maybe this is the problem.

Please do a final test and post an K2 article from Joomla frontend site. Please let me know if the tweeted URL is correct or also broken. (This is an importend information for me!)


And a last question about the URLS you have posted:
- www.mysite.com/component/k2/item/my.article
- www.mysite.com/blog/item/my.article

Does both URLs bring you to the correct article site?

Ok,

so this is it. As you can read in the docu there is only support for sh404sef and JoomSEF. In your case this has impact in the backend only.

I think it makes sense to add general support for AceSEF and I will have a look on this in the next days.

Can I send a test version to you when I have added AceSEF support?
