I'm Ulli, the developer of 1stMover extensions. Most 1stMover extensions are free of charges or fees and this is the forum site where you can get free support for these extensions. The word "free" is important and it means too, that I'm doing these free things in my free time and sometime I'm not able to answer all the questions posted here. I would like to ask for your patience.

If you want to help me (writing manuals, answering the posts here) then this will be very appreciated.

Before posting new post, please read the documentation and the previous forum posts as answering the same questions takes a lot of time which is missing for developing and for answering not yet answered posts.

Thank you very much for your understanding, Ulli

First of all, let me thank you for putting together such a fantastic Joomla extension. I wish it could read info that is written directly to the database, but aside from that, I think it is perfect.

I wanted to ask about Autotweet + JoomSEF. I searched the forum and know this has been brought up before, but I dont think I understand the answer.

When I publish an article on the back end and go to the web site, I see the SEF urls just fine, as I expect to.

When I then go to twitter and click the short link, it still directs me to the old url style that Joomla has out of the box.

In the other thread I found, someone was asking why the tweets don't point to SEF urls, and you told them that this is normal because Joomla is not capable of producing SEF urls on content that is published on the back end, only if it is published on the front end.

That is where I get confused. It makes no sense to me. If Joomla is unable to have an SEF url from back end content, then why can I see one when I go to the site? Maybe I have misunderstood what you meant, but the answer doesn't seem right.

Is there any way to get Autotweet NG working with JoomSEF so that the short urls point to the SEF url on my site?

Hi!

1. Some general information: www.1st-movers.com/faq/3-autotweet/5-why...-posted-urls-not-sef

2. The pro version has now backend SEF support. Read why this is only available for the pro version: www.1st-movers.com/forum/17-general-disc...-steps-for-autotweet

Yes, this makes no sense, that SEF support is not available from Backend...
The point is: AutoTweet needs the SEF url at posting time. This is when you save the message in backend. At this time there is no SEF support. When you go later to the URL of the saved article, you do this (of course) from frontend and so you get the SEF url...
