Please read this before you post

I'm Ulli, the developer of 1stMover extensions. Most 1stMover extensions are free of charges or fees and this is the forum site where you can get free support for these extensions. The word "free" is important and it means too, that I'm doing these free things in my free time and sometime I'm not able to answer all the questions posted here. I would like to ask for your patience.

If you want to help me (writing manuals, answering the posts here) then this will be very appreciated.

Before posting new post, please read the documentation and the previous forum posts as answering the same questions takes a lot of time which is missing for developing and for answering not yet answered posts.

Hi i have tried to configure auto tweet pro to work with my facebook fanpage but its not working even after following all the steps in the documentation.

In the service tab under facebook account state this is what is being displayed 200 User must have accepted TOS if i select Facebook page post as page itself (Does not work for Groups)

But if i select Facebook page or group - post as user the facebook account state becomes OK and it posts updates on the page as a user. but what i want is it to post as page. What could be the problem?

TOS = Terms of services

This is confusing because you do accept the app TOS when you login and authorizes the 1st-movers app. Maybe Facebook has changed something with the authorization process (They do this sometimes without notifying...)

I'm doing some tests and comming back to this thread in a few hours.

I have tested this and I can confirm the problem. It seems that this happens only for new athorizations. For existing authorizations there is no error message.

I'm not sure if this is a real issue or a temporary problem only because Facebook has big problems with the servers in the last days: developers.facebook.com/live_status.php

I'm on my way...

I think I have found the problem: The Facebook permissions dialog is broken (after the server problems): The button to allow access does not appear. So you have not granted the persmissions for the page.

Can you please go to the AutoTweet App Canvas page and check if the permissions for the page is granted or not: apps.facebook.com/autotweet/

Now I can confirm that this is a bug with the Facebook permissions dialog (since yesterday, 2010-02-23). (Unfortunatly) we must wait for the bugfix form the Facebook developers.

Here is the opened bug for this in Facebook bug tracker: bugs.developers.facebook.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5889

We should cut the facebook developers hands. It's everytime the same: They change something and it crashes! - And than they need too much time to fix it. What a scrap! (The twitter developers are much better, but that does us not help at the moment.)

Also there is no known workaround for this. If you have this problem, choose the AutoTweet option "post to page as user".

I'll keep you informed.

I'm glad you confirmed the issue. The facebook developers really change things every now and again this makes life for app developers even harder. But we will wait for the bug fix and see how we go around it. I was really excited to get the facebook part working on my fan page. I'll be checking around to see if you come up with anything good luck.
