Please read this before you post

I'm Ulli, the developer of 1stMover extensions. Most 1stMover extensions are free of charges or fees and this is the forum site where you can get free support for these extensions. The word "free" is important and it means too, that I'm doing these free things in my free time and sometime I'm not able to answer all the questions posted here. I would like to ask for your patience.

If you want to help me (writing manuals, answering the posts here) then this will be very appreciated.

Before posting new post, please read the documentation and the previous forum posts as answering the same questions takes a lot of time which is missing for developing and for answering not yet answered posts.

I feel like an idiot not being able to follow your instructions

i went and registered an app with twitter

got an api key and secret

installed the beta 2.0 pro and the myblog plugin

so i entered in my api information

and i tried to press the autorize and grant button to obtain the token and token secret

but everytime i do it just redirects me to the frontpage of the autotweet component

am i doing something wrong?

Hi!

First: You should test first with the standard 1stMovers app before you do this with your own app. (Because the usage of an own app is a new feature and not really tested).

Second: If this does also not work you can send me a PMS with an account for your backend and twitter and I can check this for you.

OK i got the story to publish

had to make a bit.ly account

but the question is....where is it publishing too? i got my app info in and its saying 200 twitter ok....

but how do i find the link that grants the app permission to a profile? i want to make it widely available...

Now I'm back to this (Sorry, I have also a job and I can do the support only after working...).

I have done some investigation and it is working now on your system (see my test post):

1. You can't use your own app at the moment. This feature does not work as intended by me! I'm on the way to fix this and I will come out with beta4 in the next week. (So you are my beta tester for this... - Thx!)

2. I have changed your account to the AutoTweet standard app and it is working now with is.gd short links.

3. bit.ly does not work. I don't know why. Maybe you have entered your password and not the APIkey in the AutoTWeet options?

hmmmn the sample one you jus tweeted up didnt use any bit.ly shortener

i actually did put in the proper api in the api field....

i will dm you my bit.ly account...so you can confirm

i am more than happy to beta test with you bro

welle make this the best damn extension EVER!


and once we get it working...can you explain to me how i can add more twitter accounts to it?

- Add new channel
- Do NOT enable "Own api" feature
- Click on the authorize button, follow the instructions and copy/paste the displayed token data
