I'm Ulli, the developer of 1stMover extensions. Most 1stMover extensions are free of charges or fees and this is the forum site where you can get free support for these extensions. The word "free" is important and it means too, that I'm doing these free things in my free time and sometime I'm not able to answer all the questions posted here. I would like to ask for your patience.

If you want to help me (writing manuals, answering the posts here) then this will be very appreciated.

Before posting new post, please read the documentation and the previous forum posts as answering the same questions takes a lot of time which is missing for developing and for answering not yet answered posts.

Thank you very much for your understanding, Ulli

Auto Tweet things that I didn't get 1 Year, 6 Months ago
Hi all, first of all let me say that I tested the free version and it installs without a glitch on a modified joomla .... very modified:)

But I'm sometimes stupid and I want to ask you the following questions. Please note that I did not compleately read the FAQ and other documentation.

1. I publish articles from romania for US readers so the time zone is an issue for me. I want to be able to tweet an article at a specific hour. Given that it works with the publish date, the thing to do would be to add a new field to the administrator with the date and specify it there? Or disable the code for the modified date and use that... From your point of view (I will get the pro version because I want to facebook too) can this be done? A separate field date for the tweet. I was thinking of making it to be set up like the publish date and if I need to publish it later on twitter, all I have to do is make the change in the field... just wondering what your point of view on this is...??

2. I clicked on everything but it seems that I cannot find where I put my twitter username and password in the free version:)

Thank you for taking the time to read this,
Miron Savan

Hi!

Please note that I did not compleately read the FAQ and other documentation.
But you should do this before posting. - Anyway...

1. I publish articles from romania for US readers so the time zone is an issue for me

There is no support for a special publish date for the posts. AutoTweet uses the Joomla publish date. So, if you set a publish date in the future, the post is done for this date. Also you can adjust the Joomla timezone to the timezone of your readers (Of course there is more than one zone in the US).

But: I think this is a more general problem, not only a problem for the AutoTweet posts. If you save the articles you have the timezone problem also for the publish of the articles not only for the AutoTweet post?

2. I clicked on everything but it seems that I cannot find where I put my twitter username and password in the free version:)
No, there is no longer a username/passwort. AutoTweet uses now OAuth for Authentication for beter safty. Also Twitter has deprecated the classic authentication method and will take it offline end of august. See the documenation for more information: www.1st-movers.com/products/autotweet/au...cumentation#channels
