I'm Ulli, the developer of 1stMover extensions. Most 1stMover extensions are free of charges or fees and this is the forum site where you can get free support for these extensions. The word "free" is important and it means too, that I'm doing these free things in my free time and sometime I'm not able to answer all the questions posted here. I would like to ask for your patience.

If you want to help me (writing manuals, answering the posts here) then this will be very appreciated.

Before posting new post, please read the documentation and the previous forum posts as answering the same questions takes a lot of time which is missing for developing and for answering not yet answered posts.

Thank you very much for your understanding, Ulli

Nothing happens after installing AutoTweet 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I have AutoTweet installed, but nothings functioned. No new article was feeded to my twitter account.

Joomla runs on a server with:
PHP 5.2.8
Curl support is enabled
Joomla is v1.5.15

Installation:
AutoTweet-Component 2.4
Automator-Plugin 1.1
Content-Extension 3.2
All plugins are published and activated.

There where no problems with the installation.

Unfortunately, looking at your FAQ, I didn't find a solution.
First, I didn't get any AutoTweet error or success message like the example on
www.1st-movers.com/faq/3-autotweet/3-i-h...ts-posted-to-twitter
Where can I see this message? On the site I write and save the new article?

In the beginning I didn't use any category or section filters. Normally all new articles had be published. But there wasn't.
Than I used filters for categories and sections. Again - no new articles published.
In booth cases there weren't also no messages listed in the AutoTweet Component.

So, at least, I don't know what's happened. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Hi!

Yes, the message should appear at the top of the site after saving the article.

So the problem is with the plugin before anything is send to the component.

1. To be clear: The Content-Extension post tweets for Joomla core content articles, not for any articles of other extensions (like MyBlog etc.). So you have saved a new Joomla content article?

2. Please enable debug mode in AutoTweet component preferences and test again.

3. Can you post a screenshot of the plugin options of the Content-Extensions?

Hi Ulli,
thanks for the fast answer!

Yes, the message should appear at the top of the site after saving the article.

OK - there has been always the standard Joomla-Message "Der Beitrag wurde erfolgreich gespeichert" after saving a new article. No message from AutoTweet.

1. To be clear: The Content-Extension post tweets for Joomla core content articles, not for any articles of other extensions (like MyBlog etc.). So you have saved a new Joomla content article?

Yes. I wrote a normal article in a standard Joomla categorie/section. No article which uses a comp-editor like EventList, Efemerides, Fabrik.

2. Please enable debug mode in AutoTweet component preferences and test again.

I tried it, but where is the output? The Joomla debug list is normaly at the bottom of the site. But there was nothing.

3. Can you post a screenshot of the plugin options of the Content-Extensions?

Of course. Also a shot from the comp preferences.

I hope you have enough infos for an assistance.

Hmmm, this looks all good!

Please do an additional test with the following settings:
- empty fields for category/section filters
- Post private articles: Yes/Ja
- Post modified articles: Yes/Ja

(Of course) your articles are set to publish (Published: Yes) when saving?

You are german?

I come back to this thread tomorrow.

Sorry for my late answer. I've been on a business trip the last two days.

So, I did all what you want:

ustorck wrote:

- empty fields for category/section filters
- Post private articles: Yes/Ja
- Post modified articles: Yes/Ja

And the result:

- The new article has been loaded to twitter.
- Now, I got the information "AutoTweet - twitter status has been updated, article id = 3941 (attempts: 1)"
- But: above this message (in a blue box) I've got a message in a yellow box:
Code:

# AutoTweet debug mode - original url = index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3941:die-schlacht-der-80er&catid=127:rs2&Itemid=233
# AutoTweet debug mode - routed url = http://www.domain.de/radio9/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3941:die-schlacht-der-80er&catid=127:rs2&Itemid=233
# AutoTweet debug mode - encoded url = http%3A%2F%2Fwww.domain.de%2Fradio9%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_content%26view%3Darticle%26id%3D3941%3Adie-schlacht-der-80er%26catid%3D127%3Ars2%26Itemid%3D233
# AutoTweet debug mode - posted url = http://is.gd/7HUut
# AutoTweet debug mode - message log stored to database, article id = 3941

It looks fine - isn't it?
Maybe this is the debug info? Is this the information that these tools are running correct now?

Yes, I'm German, sitting in the Hauptstadt.

(Ansonsten einfach nochmal melden).

Viele Grüße
Ulli
