Feed Gator Imports RSSfeeds into your Joomla! database and is one of the leading solutions on the market. Any kind of content item as long as there is a plugin to support it can be imported into Joomla. At the moment there are plugins for Joomla core content articles, K2, FLEXIcontent and Kunena forum.

AutoTweet NG is the leading social auto publish solution for Joomla. It posts the title, text, url and more for new Joomla articles, forum posts etc. automatically as status messages to twitter and/or Facebook. Many Joomla extensions are supported (for a list see the AutoTweet documentation).

As a first step the upcomming new release of Feed Gator supports the onAfterSaveContent event and has now an option to use the processing date as the the creation date for an article. With this AutoTweet NG and Feed Gator are working beautifully together for Joomla core content articles.

Also 1st-movers.com is working on an improved version of the AutoTweet K2 plugin to integrate this with Feed Gator. Future plans are to bring together AutoTweet and Feed Gator also for FLEXIcontent, Kunena and more.
